PG Connects speaker spotlight: Wandrille Pruvot, Art Of Click

It's just days to go before Pocket Gamer Connects 2014.

Our first conference will be held in London on 20-21 January - you can find out more details here.

So to whet your appetite, we're finding out more about some of our speakers.

The CRO as full service mobile marketing solution partner Art of Click, Wandrille Pruvot has 12 years of experience in the mobile industry, focused on entertainment, payment and advertising.

Prior to joining Art Of Click, he was regional director at adsmobi for which he started operations in the Asia Pacific region. Before that, he led the Buzzcity team in Europe, paving the way for the Singapore-headquartered company in a previously untapped market.

Pocket Gamer: What do you think has been the most significant event for mobile games during 2013?

Wandrille Pruvot: I think it was Chinese game companies starting to venture outside of China, like Japanese and Korean companies before them

What do you think will be the biggest challenges and opportunities in 2014?

Monetizing users is still the main challenge, so there's big opportunities for companies (games or service providers) who have good converting products

How will indie developers fare? Any advice?

Market is consolidating so it will be tougher for the indies to get big success. The main piece of advice is launch first in a market you know, find the right ingredients, then go international.

How big do you think the East-meets-West opportunity is, and which markets are you most excited about in 2014?

The most exiting markets will be Korea and emerging markets like Indonesia, Brazil and Turkey, which will be flooded by very affordable Android phones

What are you expecting to learn from attending Pocket Gamer Connects?

Find the future winners of the 'Game of Phones'.

What were your favourite mobile games of 2013?

Big Win Hockey [Hothead Games] and Flick Kick Football Legends [PikPok].

Finally, what's your New Year's resolution and what resolution would you enforce on the industry?

Get the best CPI, and make sure all the industry knows about it!
