Movers and shakers

  • Brooklyn-based startup Turbo set up an advisory board featuring key players such as Unity CEO David Helgason and CCP's Thor Gunnarsson.
  • Big Fish Games picked EA's pocket by appointing former PopCap man, Robert Chamberlain, as its new CFO.
  • Amazon's chief financial officer Thomas J. Sztukat announced his retirement, revealing plans to step down in summer 2015 after spending 12 years at the firm. 
  • Ex-Rovio, Remedy, Guerrilla, and Digital Chocolate devs came together to form new mid-core gaming studio, Helsinki GameWorks.

Openings

  • German mobile developer Fishlabs is looking to bring in 25 new faces as it prepares to relocate and expand. 
  • Endemol is offering a 6 month paid internship to candidates looking to gain development experience designing tablet apps based on the company's home grown TV branded and third party IPs.
  • Endemol is also searching for a talented designer to join its dynamic Games Production team on a 3 month paid internship
