Spil Games appoints ex-Top Eleven art director Aaron Magpayo as Global Art Director

Spil Games has appointed Aaron Magpayo into the new role of Global Art Director.

He will be responsible for steering the visual and user experience elements across all of Spil Games' mobile games.

Magpayo was previously art director on football game Top Eleven at Nordeus Games.

He's also worked on games such as FarmVille 2 and NBA 2K14 and with studios including Disney, Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures.

Looking good

"Pitch perfect artwork is an essential element in mobile gaming," said Spil's CEO Tung Nguyen-Khac.

"Often, it can be the key to a game's success in the app stores. Aaron brings us the skills and experience to ensure all our games are pin sharp."

"Mobile is the place to be right now but it comes with its own set of design challenges," added Magpayo.

"I'm excited to be joining Spil Games as its mobile strategy hits full speed."
