Ex-NaturalMotion Daryl Clewlow appointed as Nordeus' new Head of Art

13-year industry veteran joins Top Eleven developer

Ex-NaturalMotion Daryl Clewlow appointed as Nordeus' new Head of Art

Nordeus has announced the appointment of Daryl Clewlow as its new Head of Art, intensifying its push towards triple-A quality art on mobile.

The Serbian firm has recently updated its flagship title, Top Eleven - a long-running, heavily spreadsheet-driven football management game - but, behind the scenes, it has been pushing "high-fidelity art" for future, non-sports-related games.

Visual focus

Clewlow joins from the Zynga-owned NaturalMotion, a firm also challenging the limits of mobile visuals with the likes of CSR 2 and Dawn of Titans, where he held the same Head of Art position he'll be taking at Nordeus.

Prior to this, a 13-year career has taken him to Free Radical, Core Design, Rebellion, and Blitz Games.

“I joined the company to help with the growth of the art department and to be able to deliver both my aspirational vision and quality bar for art alongside the number of new IP’s we are generating across the Nordeus studios," said Clewlow.

"It’s an extremely exciting time to be a creative in this industry as we see boundaries within mobile continually pushed and challenged - something our games will certainly be doing at Nordeus."

Nordeus CEO Branko Milutinovic referred to the hiring of Clewlow as a testament to the firm's commitment to talent acquisition, adding that "he brings a wealth of talent from over 20 years in the entertainment industry that we’re excited to unlock."
