Goodgame Studios hiring Java Server Developer for first ever puzzle game

Hamburg-based casual game developer Goodgame Studios is seeking a Java Server Developer, amidst a hiring drive for its first ever puzzle game.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing game servers for Goodgame's existing and forthcoming MMO game projects, and ensuring that thousands of players can play together on the same server simultaneously.

Experience required

Many years of professional experience with "large software projects," using Java or similar languages, is required for the role.

Furthermore, an understanding of the Java memory model and experience with SQL databases is required. Good English is a must, and knowledge of German is also desirable.

Features Editor

Matt is really bad at playing games, but hopefully a little better at writing about them. He's Features Editor for PocketGamer.biz, and has also written for lesser publications such as IGN, VICE, and Paste Magazine.
