App Annie hires Al Campa as its new Chief Marketing Officer

San Francisco-based app data and insights platform App Annie has announced the appointment of Al Campa as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

Campa joins from cloud communications firm RingCentral, where he was also CMO.

At App Annie, he will be responsible for the firm's global marketing initiatives and operations.

Over the past 12 months, App Annie has brought its headcount from 300 to 450, acquired AppScotch, and secured $63 million in financing

"The app economy is rapidly expanding into new verticals, significantly impacting business for publishers and marketers in media and entertainment, consumer goods, retail and travel," says App Annie CEO Bertrand Schmitt.
