Gameloft hires new vice president of marketing

Mobile games publisher Gameloft has appointed Damien Marchi as vice president of marketing.

The new hire will be responsible for marketing and communications strategies and will collaborate with local teams in the 40 countries that the company operates in.

Marchi joins from Havas, which is also owned by Vivendi, where he served as global head of content. Before that he served for 20 years in marketing at various positions in the TV industry and was involved in growing the US adaptations of The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and Big Brother.

Alongside that he has also handled marketing for brands such as Red Bull, Air France and L'Oreal.

Lofty ambitions

"I'm very proud to be joining Gameloft at an exciting time in its development,” said Marchi.

“Joining a company with so much talent and sharing my passion for mobile games with the millions of fans that Gameloft games attract every day is an amazing opportunity.”

Gameloft executive VP of sales and marketing Baudouin Corman added: "It's with great pleasure that we welcome Damien Marchi to our team and to Gameloft’s Management Committee.

“His dual profile in the digital and traditional media fields and his experience in entertainment production and content marketing will provide a lot of momentum to Gameloft's marketing strategy across the globe.”
