Chimera signs up ex-Ubisoft Blue Byte designer to head up game design

German developer Chimera Entertainment has signed up former Ubisoft Blue Byte lead game designer Sebastian Bombera as its own head of games design.

The new recruit comes with more than 13 years of experience. Bombera started his career in the games industry by joining Related Designs in 2004 to work on the ANNO franchise.

Between 2012 and 2013, he was lead game designer of the browser game Might and Magic Heroes Online where he managed a mid-sized team.

Team up

“I’m happy to join Chimera and install my experience as a node for their designers and bond the team ties even more,” said Bombera.

“We’re on the same page, sharing the sense for quality of games that players can enjoy for years. I’m keen to support their increased team and to keep the creative processes efficient.”

Chimera managing and operations director Christian Kluckner added: “Having Sebastian on board now is a key hire for us as our projects are growing substantially in terms of scope and production value.

“With his strong profile and his experience in leading and mentoring creatives he will fortify Chimera’s structure and help us to coach and develop our talents on the team.”
