MZ picks up Wells Fargo exec for chief financial officer role

Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire developer MZ has hired Wells Fargo Securities’ executive Dan Nash to be its chief financial officer.

As part of his new role, Nash will be responsible for all aspects of MZ’s financial operations, such as finance, accounting, investor relations, audit, tax and treasury.

Before his new role, Nash was a managing director and head of internet investment banking at Wells Fargo Securities, where he advised internet companies from around the world on IPOs, mergers, acquisitions and other equity and debt financings.

Before that Nash served as director of internet investment banking at BofA Merrill Lynch and worked some high profile transactions, including the IPOs of Zynga, LinkedIn and Facebook.

“I am very excited to welcome an amazing talent like Dan to MZ. Dan will be instrumental in accelerating this next phase of growth,” said MZ CEO Kristen Garcia Dumont.

“Dan has extensive experience advising leading Internet and mobile businesses and is going to be a tremendous asset to help round out MZ’s leadership team.”

Nash added: “I’m thrilled to join a company so well poised for success and rapid growth.

“MZ has become the example of how to build a successful mobile gaming business at scale.

“Its investment in infrastructure and commitment to providing players with a compelling experience has created communities that have proven to be more engaged than users of other major platforms like Facebook and Snap.

“I’m looking forward to taking the company through this next exciting chapter.”
