HQ Trivia dev Intermedia Labs adds Tinder CEO to board

HQ Trivia developer Intermedia Labshas appointed Tinder CEO Elie Seidman to its board of directors.

As reported by CNN, he joins current CEO and co-founder Rus Yusupov and Lightspeed Venture Partners Jeremy Liew, who previously invested in the company, on the board.

Seidman has been CEO of Tinder since November 2017 and prior to that worked at the likes of OKCupid and Oyster.com.

"His experience and perspective will help us navigate the opportunities ahead," said Yusupov.

The move comes after the death of co-founder Colin Kroll, who passed away in December at the age of 34.

Rise and stagnation

Last year HQ Trivia was one of the world’s most popular mobile apps, racking up millions of users for its daily quizzes and big cash prizes. Intermedia signed deals with a number of big brands and companies - such as Nike and Warner Bros - who used the game as a platform for promotion.

Such as the company’s success, we ranked it 38th in our Top 50 Developer list for 2018.

The title’s growth has stalled however, as seemingly has its popularity. Intermedia has begun releasing new titles such as HQ Sports and HQ Words as it looks to reignite the company’s growth and find its next hit.
