Angry Birds VR developer Resolution Games names new COO

Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs developer Resolution Games has named 20-year entrepreneurial veteran Patrik Dreber as its new COO.

In his new role he'll be responsible for driving the studio’s business strategy and growth moving forward.

Dreber comes with a wealth of experience across various industries, from the head of processes, analytics and support at grocery retailer ICA Sweden to CEO of the Italian branch of recruitment agency Contaplus.

Growth phase

“We couldn't be happier to have Patrik join our team, particularly during this phase of hyper-innovation and growth as the visual computing space fully emerges,” said Resolution CEO and co-founder Tommy Palm.

“His vast experience working with business infrastructures for both small and large corporations will be a great asset as we head into our next chapter as a company.”

Dreber added: “This is such an exciting time in the AR and VR industry, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of one of the space’s clear leaders.

“My experience having been an entrepreneur myself and also taking businesses through the full economic spectrum will serve the team well to help take Resolution Games to the next level.”

Resolution also revealed the scale of its recent expansion following its $7.5 million series B funding round in October 2018. There are now 53 people working at the firm in a new office in central Stockholm.
