3 outsources Java games platform to Buongiorno

3 has become the latest UK mobile operator to outsource the management of its games offering to an external company – in this case, Buongiorno.

The latter says that the portal aims to become "the UK & Ireland's most comprehensive and up-to-date mobile games shop".

Buongiorno will be launching a web-based games store to complement the WAP version, and is promising a "personalised retail experience". Or, as Buongiorno's UK MD Luca Pagano puts it:

"It has been designed to personalise the browsing and purchasing experience on a one-to-one basis according to the taste and budget of each customer."

PocketGamer.biz parent company Steel Media is also involved – reviews from Pocket Gamer will be part of the portal.

Meanwhile, Buongiorno is also launching a new 'Games Club' for 3, which will offer exclusive titles and member-only offers, along with prizes and demos.
