Dynamo Games launching mobile sports range
Scottish developer Dynamo Games is best-known for its work on the mobile game versions of Eidos's Championship Manager, but the company is now launching its own-brand range of sports titles.

Called Dynamo Sports, the range will kick off with football strategy game Football Tycoon, before diversifying into other sports.

"We will also be creating versions for baseball, American football, basketball, ice hockey, golf, F1, NASCAR, cricket and tennis," says MD Brian McNicoll (pictured).

"We are also looking to take the series to different handheld platforms such as BREW, iPhone, Android, Nintendo DS and as such we are on the lookout for potential distribution partners to take these games to market."

The move will put Dynamo into direct competition with fellow UK firm Player One, which has a similar focus on sports mobile games.

Meanwhile, Football Tycoon is already shortlisted for the Best Technical Achievement gong in the upcoming IGF Mobile awards.

"That Football Tycoon has already been short-listed for an industry award is testament to the creativity of our team and their ability to consistently produce fun, innovative titles for the thriving mobile market," says McNicoll.
