Gamelion diversifying to PS3 and PSP
Gamelion is the latest mobile games company to become less of a mobile games company, with the announcement that it's been authorised to develop games for Sony's PSP and PS3.

The news follows its announcement in January that it was working on its first game for Nintendo's WiiWare platform.

"We've been discussing already with Sony about our pipeline for some time now, and are planning to release our first games for PSP in Q4 2009," says head of production Sebastian Szczygiel.

The company says it'll be looking for publishing deals, as well as working with existing partners, on these new platforms.

Increasing numbers of mobile developers are looking to PlayStation Network, WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade as new opportunities - mainly because of their digital distribution and lower cost to entry.

Gameloft has had several successful games on XBLA and WiiWare, while Digital Chocolate is preparing its own push onto those platforms.
