Incentivised downloads leading the Android charge

Super Rewards integrates with Corona to provide development, distribution and monetisation tools
While the longterm viability of incentivised downloads on iOS remains unclear, the massive growth of Android devices is providing more than enough opportunity for per install and monetisation outfits.

One company that's accelerating its activity in this area is Super Rewards.

The game-focused division of AdKnowledge, it's just announced a deal to integrate its solution into Ansca Mobile's cross-platform Corona SDK.

This will enable developers to add new monetisation solutions into their content to earn recurring revenue and grow their user base.

Competitive advantage

Super Rewards' network links advertisers and developers, with a mixture of mobile advertising and incentivised downloads, whereby users can earn in-game currency for titles they're playing, by installing apps that are made available via an offerwall.

Following Apple's rejection of some apps using this method however, Super Rewards only offers advertising for iOS apps and games, while Android content contains ads and incentivised downloads.

There are separate SDKs available for Apple devices (iOS 3.0 and higher) and Android (v1.6+).

Come together

"We are thrilled to partner with Ansca Mobile to provide an integrated solution that helps developers bring their games to market faster than ever," said Chris Smutny, general manager of Super Rewards.

"Ansca's Corona SDK takes the fragmented process of game development, deployment and distribution, and natively combines it with the critical monetisation element from Adknowledge, putting everything a game developer needs under one roof. This solution frees developers to focus on creating really good games, rather than all the steps in between."

"Combined with Corona SDK's legendary ease of use, speed of development, and high performance, this partnership gives mobile developers a tremendous advantage in the highly competitive space of mobile apps," added Walter Luh, Ansca Mobile's CEO.

"With Super Rewards, Corona SDK enables mobile developers not only to create top iOS and Android apps, but also to monetise those apps more quickly than ever before."
