Merges display ads with app offers

W3i launches new app discovery service Mobile App Ad Network
Pitched as a one stop shop for developers looking for both a new discovery tool and a source of fresh revenue, W3i has unveiled its latest venture: the Mobile App Ad Network (MAAP).

MAAP combines two distinct elements – display advertising and daily app offers – into one product designed to bring new users on board.

Rather than simply offering up an in-app ad, users are offered a daily app offer, which W3i's numbers suggest offers a far higher conversion rate than standard ads alone.

Diversity and discovery

"Our goal at W3i is to provide app developers diversity in their options for getting their apps discovered," said CEO Andy Johnson, CEO, W3i.

"We're committed to constantly evolving our network and are excited to unveil this next step in the growing mobile economy."

Developers, publishers and advertisers alike are offered a variety of delivery options through MAAP, including both banners and notifications linked to specific user actions.

Though only currently in beta, W3i states developers behind "multiple, top 25 ranked iOS releases" have already signed up, with the first MAAP feed focusing on a 'free game of the day' model.

Firms interested in signing up to MAAP should visit W3i's website.
