Already pushing 6 billion mobile ads monthly, InMobi expands US operations with 4 new hires
Claiming to be the 'world's largest independent mobile ad network', InMobi has highlighted plans for further expansion into the US market, with the appointment of Peter Bassett as head of sales for North America.

Bassett was previously senior vice president of sales at Millennial Media.

Also joining InMobi from Millennial Media is David Smith, who will be heading up InMobi's US east coast sales, while Susan Kuo, former vice president of sales at Booyah, joins as US head of marketing, and Archie O'Conner, joins as US head of business development from MixerCast.

In its first 12 months in America, InMobi says it has grown its US network five-fold and now reaches over 83 million US mobile consumers through six billion ad impressions every monthly.

"By combining our existing and new leadership expertise with our industry leading InMobi Analytics technology, we expect to reach over 100 million mobile users in the US by the end of 2011," said Anne Frisbie, InMobi VP and MD, North America.

"We anticipate that we'll engage with 75 percent of all smartphone users."
