TeePee Games partners with Setgo to bring Castaways to discovery platform
Flash, social and mobile game discovery platform TeePee has unveiled a partnership with Liverpool-based Setgo that will see the studio's first release Castaways make its way to the portal.

The deal, which follows similar agreements with the likes of Zynga, EA, Playdom, Wooga, Digital Chocolate and Hit Point Studios, adds to the existing 400 Facebook, 150 Android and 2,500 online Flash games already available on the platform.

Survival of the fittest

"It's a real joy to have signed up Setgo as Castaways is an amazing game," said Darren Newnham of TeePee Games.

"With vast stretches of map for its players to explore and a realistic food-based health mechanic, Castaways has the potential to become one of the best survival games on Facebook."

The game, which is currently in beta on both Facebook and Hi5, focuses on resource management, tasking players with surviving on a desert island.

"TeePee Games is dedicated to bringing promising games like Castaways to the forefront of the social games scene, so we’ve been looking forward to working with them for quite some time," added Setgo's Clemens Wangerin.

Setgo claims play also boasts scores of social elements, including statistic sharing between friends and a messaging mechanic.

TeePee, which was first formed back in November 2010, announced it had passed 100,000 active monthly users at the end of July.
