Android 4.0 to be launched a day before iOS 5
It's impossible to mention the term OS without iOS 5 coming to mind given that Apple's latest update arrives 12 October. That hasn’t put off Google however.

Android's Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4.x) update will apparently be arriving on October 11, just one day before iOS 5.

The date was revealed via the anidroiddevelopers YouTube page, which featured a countdown to the launch event. The post has since been taken down.

The launch is timed with Samsung’s Unpacked event in San Diego, during which it is expected to reveal its Galaxy Nexus Prime smartphone.

As previously announced, Ice Cream Sandwich is the first Android OS designed to run across both smartphones and tablets.
