Express service pitched at TV advertisers

AdColony unveils self-serve HD mobile video ad platform for iOS
Videos in mobile ads are nothing new, but the unveiling of AdColony's new HD mobile video ad platform – dubbed AdColony Express – seems pitched at bringing in new advertisers, rather than catering for those already in the field.

As pitched by the company, AdColony Express will allow advertisers to employ their television adverts within their mobile marketing on iOS "in just a few clicks".

After signing up, marketers only need upload their videos to see them deployed across AdColony's video ad network – after a vetting from the firm itself first, of course.

The ad express

"With AdColony Express, we want to make deploying an ad campaign across our network as seamless as possible," said Will Kassoy, CEO of AdColony's parent company Jirbo.

"We're confident this provides an ideal solution for brands looking to reach this growing audience that's increasingly spending more time on mobile devices."

Kassoy claims AdColony Express won't only benefit big brands, either. By making the process so easy, even small studios will – in theory – be able to deploy videos across its network.

"This is also an amazing way for app developers to drive discovery and engagement. What used to only be available to brands and agencies through a formal RFP process will now be right at the fingertips of anyone."
