Epic Games' Mark Rein to keynote London's Mobile Games Forum
Adding to the roster of speakers already confirmed, organisers behind this year's Mobile Games Forum have unveiled the full agenda for the two day conference, which will run from 25 - 26 January at Hilton Tower Bridge, London.

Leading the line is Epic Games founder and VP Mark Rein, who is set to host the event's closing keynote.

The talk will look at the "next generation of mobile games development", including the role studios will have to play in quenching the industry's growing thirst for portable play.

Big on browsers

But both days are set to play host to leading lights from multiple sectors across the industry.

Day one's opening keynote will be given by comScore Europe's VP of mobile Jeremy Copp, while Digital Chocolate's VP head of sales Robert Unsworth will take to the stage later in the day to talk up the rise of browser-based play.

An early roundtable – sporting both Spil Games mobile director Jan-Joost Kraal and Neon Play CEO Oli Christie, amongst others - will look at the right OS and hardware for the mobile industry.

They'll also be a two-way talk looking at mobile games PR, given by both Spilt Milk Studios MD Andrew John Smith and former PG.biz writer Stuart Dredge.

Round the roundtables

Day two will play host to XMG Studio's Ray Sharma, who will discuss the future of mobile gaming strategy, while Laurence Aderemi of Google's mobile partnerships division will take charge of the day's opening keynote.

Two roundtables focusing on emerging markets – featureing Gamevil, PapayaMobile and InMobi - and revenue and distribution – with Connect2Media, Glu and Zed on board – will serve as the day's meat, with Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade also detailing his considerable experience with how to produce branded games alongside WeeWorld CEO Celia Francis.

"The 2012 forum will bring you thelatest trends and zeitgeist developments which are keeping this industry alive," detail organisers on the event's website.

"With mobile gaming attracting new interest and creativity and a whole new generation of technology before us, MGF2012 is the best place to discuss the crucial issues of the future."

Socially speaking

2012 will also see the Social Games & Virtual Goods Forum taking place simultaneously on the second day and featuring contributions from the likes of GAMESbrief founder Nicholas Lovell, Mobile Pie's creative director Will Luton and Ian Harper of Future Games of London.

Given this year's top Mobile Games Forum sponsor is BlackBerry, it's also been confirmed that all developers in attendance will receive a free PlayBook for their troubles.

More details on MGF 2012, which will take place at the Hilton Tower Bridge, can be found on the event's website.
