Mobile entertainment firm Mondia Media appoints Avril McDonald as new UK MD
Less than a month after its last major appointment, Mondia Media has named Avril McDonald – formally of mobile content services provider Lumata – as its new managing director in the UK.

McDonald takes charge of her new role at the German mobile enterainment specialist with immediate effect, reporting directly to new CCO Volker Glaeser while supervising the outfit's operations across the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.

"Speed, relevance and simplicity are the crucial factors in the consumption of digital entertainment content," said McDonald of her new role.

"Mondia Media meets these requirements in an impressive way and so I very much look forward to this exciting professional challenge."

McDonald joins having most recently worked in Lumata's business development and B2B departments, but has also worked at music-based platform operator Music Choice and Australian pay TV provider Foxtel.

English experience

"We are pleased to have won a veteran content expert for our London branch and I am very confident that Avril will help us significantly develop our business in the strategically important English-speaking markets," added Glaeser.

Mondia Media - formally known as Arvato - now has a total of 250 employees on its books worldwide, with the firm's London base complimented by its HQ in Hamburg and offices in Dubai, Rome, Madrid, Johannesburg, Mumbai and São Paulo.
