Mobile to give console a run for its money

InnoGames CMO Volker Dressel signs up for F2P Summit
Volker Dressel, CMO of German outfit InnoGames, has been unveiled as the final speaker for this year's F2P Summit, set to kick off on 28 March.

Dressel's presentation is set to focus on the emergence of cross-platform technologies – an area of keen interest for InnoGames, which is currently in the process of expanding from PC out to the free-to-play market on mobile.

"Cross-platform gaming changes the face of free-to-play in several ways, and is positioned to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the trend," said Dressel.

"Not only can people now access the same live game through basically anything with a screen, and play with anyone around the world, but no download is required and graphic quality is reaching a point to give AAA console titles a run for their money."

Other confirmed speakers include Tapjoy VP Paul Bowen, ngmoco GM Ben Cousins, PapayaMobile's Oscar Clarke, European business development and developer relations lead at GREE Kyoko Matsushita and NaturalMotion's product director Struan Robertson.

Those looking to attend have until 14 March to pick up their early bird tickets before the event kicks off in London two weeks later.
