Munch Time HD and Azkend 2 HD are the top-reviewed iPhone games for March
If you were wondering what the best-reviewed iPhone games on the web last month were, here's the iPhone Quality Index round-up for March to fill you in. If you weren't, well, here they are, anyway.

The iPhone Quality Index boasts over 200,000 reviews from websites like 148Apps, Pocket Gamer, and IGN, and uses a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each iPhone title.

Monster Munch

It seems that the iPhone charts suffered an all-out assault from a collection of curious critters during the month of March.

The colour-changing charms of Munch Time HD's elastic-tongued protagonist proved so irresistible that they earned him a place at the top of Qi's prestigious shortlist.

Spitting shiny pebbles at the competition from seventh place, meanwhile, is the slimy green star of Zuma's Revenge! HD, who has managed to convince plenty of iPhone game critics who dare to click 'download' on its App Store page of its brilliance.

If chameleons and frogs weren't enough to contend with, though, superb physics-puzzler The Drop Out has got players defying gravity to rescue yet more beasties from an unspecified - but probably unpleasant - fate.

N.B. While we only display the average score to one decimal place, the list is generated to further significant figures. We just don't show them all.

And, naturally, this is a static graph based on live listings which are subject to constant change as new releases and reviews emerge.

In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the iPhone games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top ten.
