Jason Citron to reveal new venture at YouWeb and StartEngine's joint demo day
Leading incubators YouWeb and StartEngine have announced they will collaborate to deliver a double demo day on 1 May.

StartEngine's companies will join the latest incubations from YouWeb to focus on mobile, social, gaming, education, entertainment, and e-commerce pitches to an invite-only group of 100 Silicon Valley investors, influencers, and press.

First look

Over 20 companies will be showcasing at YouWeb's headquarters in Menlo Park, California, many of which will be revealed publicly for the first time.

Indeed, one will be the new venture by former OpenFeint CEO Jason Citron, who's previous YouWeb-incubated company sold to Japanese gaming company GREE for $104 million.

"This is the first-ever Demo Day for YouWeb companies, so I'm delighted to be able to co-host this with Howard Marks, former CEO of Activision [StartEngine's founder]," said YouWeb chairman Peter Relan.

"We think that StartEngine taps into a different eco-system that complements ours here in Silicon Valley. In fact, our event is a vanguard of the inevitable convergence of technology, education, entertainment and gaming."

The sold out Demo Day event will take place on 1 May at YouWeb headquarters of Menlo Park, California.
