Kiip extends $100,000 Build fund deadline to 30 May

Indie venture backed by advisory board

Kiip extends $100,000 Build fund deadline to 30 May
Kiip has extended its deadline for its $100,000 Build Fund to 30 May, giving developers an extra month to get their submissions in.

The goal behind the fund is to reward developers that incorporate Kiip's reward program into their initial game designs, with a selection of twenty developers gaining a $5,000 slice of the fund towards their project.

All on board

Kiip CEO Brian Wong said that the reason for pushing back the deadline was due to high interested in the scheme.

"We've had hundreds of applications to the fund and we are excited to extend the program to an area that makes the fund work for itself," Wong told TechCrunch.

"We're also looking forward to making the fund potentially a regular program with this first batch."

As an additional move, Kiip has formed an advisory board for the fund, including IGN president Roy Bahat, TapJoy co-founder and founder of KarmaScience Lee Linden.

Also on offer for developers is $2,000 credit with Amazon Web Services, six-month pro licenses with Urban Airship and StackMob, and a lifetime enterprise license with Crittercism.

Those looking to apply should visit the Kiip's Build Fund website.
