AppMobi's Boom Town branded HTML5's first 'massively cross platform' game
HTML5 specialist appMobi has launched what it bills as the language's first "massively cross platform" release, Boom Town.

The game – which has hit iOS, Android and Facebook – is less an attempt to top the charts, however, and more a move to showcase appMobi's HTML5 development tools, with the company keen to highlight the flexibility of the language.

Ready to explode

"Over the last year we've perfected the use of HTML5 to develop and deliver massively cross platform games, giving developers the fastest possible path to literally billions of mobile device users around the world," said CTO Sam Abadir.

"Today, we're proving this capability with another first, our own massively cross platform game."

The launch of Boom Town - created in part using both appMobi's tools and JavaScript engine ImpactJS - is being coupled with a push by appMobi at E3 in Los Angeles,

The firm is looking to cast light on the game's cross platform game saves, Facebook integration, in-app purchases, cross promotion and other features, all employed using appMobi's tools.
Boom Town is also bound for the Amazon Appstore, Nook App Store, and Intel AppUp store in the future.
