TIGA unveils game analytics workshop for 20 July
Responding to what it claims is the fundamental role analytics now play in game development, trade association TIGA has unveiled a workship designed to help developers get to grips with handling data.

The workshop will feature Simon Harris from BBC Worldwide and Mark Robinson from GamesAnalytics, with both looking to set out how to establish an "effective analytics environment" to help increase game revenues.

Dealing with data

"The games industry has been seizing the opportunity presented by the advent of online and the free-to-play model," said TIGA in a statement.

"It is well accepted that analytics is now fundamental to developing and managing profitable games. But there is some confusion around where to focus your analytics effort and also how to resolve the difficulties associated from dealing with big data."

The free workshop will use BBC Worldwide's Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution on iOS as a cade study, with the event kicking off at 3pm on 20 July at the BBC's Digital Entertainment & Games, Media Centre on Wood Lane, London.

More information can be found on TIGA's website.
