Swedish mobile developer, publisher and marketer 24MAS has announced it is to make a major play for the US market, appointing Magnus Kaberg to lead the assault.

Kaberg, who has handled sales, marketing and media in both the 'traditional' and digital space over the course of the last two decades, will be charged with establishing 24MAS in the US market for the first time.

US insight

"We have huge plans for the US market and Magnus is the person we can fully entrust our goals with to provide intelligent guidance on this major endeavour," said CEO Lars Lindqvist.

"I'm proud to have him on board and excited about where he will lead us in the coming months."

Kaberg is said to have "invaluable insight on the US mobile consumer", having worked both in North America and his native Sweden throughout the course of his career.

"24MAS has the advantage of a thriving global operation in the mobile space," added Kaberg.

"It's the perfect time to introduce its brand of mobile expertise into one of the world's largest mobile consumer markets. I'm confident we can bring in new and exciting digital experiences to American consumers, which will enable us to achieve our goals in the US."
