Don't kick the Bucketz
Adopting a refreshingly irreverent, fourth wall-breaking tone, Picnic Hippo Studios's casual physics game Bucketz finished July 2012 atop the iPhone Qi game chart.
Meanwhile, Song Pop, in second place on this month's hit parade, takes the great British pub quiz out of the pub and puts it in your pocket. Featuring online cross-platform competitive play, Song Pop tasks you with identifying the names of tunes and artists before your opponent.
Hot on its heels is the frenetic 2D shoot-'em-up Bug Princess 2 Black Label from cult Japanese developer Cave. This old skool blaster is actually a remix of Bug Princess 2, but with the addition of all-new God and Boss Rush modes.

In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the iPhone games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top ten.
