XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Where's My Mickey? are heading the Quality Index's Top 10 rated iOS and Android games of June 2013
If you were wondering what the best-reviewed iOS and 'droid games on the web last month were, here are the iPhone Quality Index, iPad Quality Index, and Android Quality Index round-ups for June to fill you in.

The iPhone, iPad, and Android Quality Indexes boast over 650,000 reviews (in total) from websites like 148Apps, Pocket Gamer, and Gamezebo, and use a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each iOS and Android title.

XCOM: Enemy Known

Smartly flanking the opposition like a well-trained army unit, XCOM: Enemy Unknown takes the top spot in the June iPhone Qi (and iPad Qi) game chart.

It's a fine squad-based strategy game and an impeccable console conversion to boot.

In any other month, mind, the maker of Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage might have expected to come first on the monthly Qi rundown. As it is, though, its developer has to settle for a still-impressive third place.

This casual physics-puzzler is the first game to launch under the Rovio Stars publishing banner, and it's a suitably polished effort.

Immediately behind that is Ironhide Game Studio's Kingdom Rush: Frontiers, the much-anticipated sequel to one of the finest tower defence games on iOS.

It's unashamedly more of the same - for once, however, that's no bad thing.

At #3 on the iPad game chart this month is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, another one of those stellar console-to-mobile conversions.

With Aspyr marrying all the magic of the Star Wars universe to BioWare's peerless character development, conversation, and storytelling systems, this is one of the finest RPGs ever made.

In fifth place this month, meanwhile, is Scurvy Scallywags, a charming mixture of match-three puzzler and RPG adventure.

And pirates. Lots and lots of pirates.

Where's My Mickey? tops the June Android Qi game chart... and it's easy to see why.

Here, The Big D seamlessly marries its most famous character with its best mobile gaming franchise (Where's My Water?).

Close behind the House of Mouse's table topper is Hero of Many, an atmospheric sub-aquatic action-adventure where you must guide a bunch of wriggly tadpoles to freedom.

The Game Bakers fair stomps into the #3 slot this month with Combo Crew, making the old skool scrolling beat-'em-up seem perfectly at home on a touchscreen device.

Swipe-based combos ahoy!

Last up, we have 9th Dawn RPG+. It's one of the most faithful interpretations of a classic open-world RPG game you've ever seen on mobile. Honest.

And, naturally, these are static graphs based on live listings which are subject to constant change as new releases and reviews emerge.

In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the iOS and Android games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top tens.
