Port your game in a few clicks

Want to reach an extra 260 million players a month? Facebook's new Unity SDK has you covered
Facebook took the stage at Unity's Unite 2013 conference in Vancouver to unveil a new development kit for Unity.

This SDK allows developers to port existing Unity-powered games onto the social network with ease.

The process is so easy, in fact, that developers can continue writing in C# and bring the game to Facebook alongside SDK pioneers like Cmune's UberStirke, Madfinger's Shadowgun:Deadzone, and Nivalis King's Bounty: Legions - all of which are powered by Unity and available on Facebook.

Core games go social

Facebook notes that 90 million active users are playing Unity games already present on Facebook, and it identifies "highly sophisticated, 3D games often labeled as core and mid-core" as "[o]ne of the fastest growing categories of games on Facebook".

The social media titan reckons that you can port your game to Facebook by "filling out a few fields in the developer app and giving us the URL of your game object" - all thanks to the new SDK.

Those interested in learning more about Facebok's new Unity development kit can read the full details in the Facebook developer's blog post.
