Ste Curran and BDA Ent. also join the roster

Where's My Talks? Disney signs up for GDC Next 2013
Given it's the first time the event will have been held, we're pretty interested to see how Game Developers Conference Next will pan out.

The first set of talks has been announced.

Disney Mobile's level designer Tom Smith will be talking about his experience creating hits like Where's My Water?, and Where's My Perry?

Meanwhile, developer and one-time Edge writer Ste Curran is taking the mysterious title 'In the Time It Takes a Heart to Beat', and BDA Entertainment CEO Greg Balajewicz discusses porting Realm of Empires from Facebook to mobile HTML5.

Focus on the future

GDC Next will be taking place on November 5 - 7, alongside the App Developers Conference at the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles

It has been pegged as the "spiritual successor to GDC Online", with the event aiming to highlight the future of game development, as well as focusing on cloud technology, and indie games.

The newly announced talks aren't the only ones to be added to the interactive Session Scheduler, which you can find here.

Register and save

Other talks include a discussion about story-driven social games from the Game of Thrones Ascent team, and a talk from Starcraft 2 commenter Sean Plott on spectator-friendly games.

Registration for both GDC Next and the ADC is now open, but you might want to hurry up, as the first 500 people who sign up to the event will save over 30 percent on ADC, GDC Next, or a combined VIP Pass.

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
