GDC 2014: Game Developers Choice Awards Nominations are now open

The 2014 Game Developers Conference has opened nominations for its 14th annual Choice Awards.

Scheduled to take place on 19 March at GDC 2014 in San Francisco, the Choice Awards aim to honour and recognise the most outstanding achievements in development and game design across the industry.

Nominations close on 4 January 2014, and are open to any game professional in the industry.

Outstanding achievement

Last year's winners saw ThatGameCompany's indie darling Journey sweep every category it was nominated for (including Game of the Year), while Fireproof's The Room won Best Handheld/Mobile Game category.

The 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award, meanwhile, went to BioWare co-founders Drs Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk.
