Game Insight hits 5 million players on Windows and Windows Phone 8

Off to a good start

Game Insight hits 5 million players on Windows and Windows Phone 8

The jury is still out on the success of Windows Phone for Microsoft and Nokia.

But that doesn't mean that some brave publishers aren't finding traction on the platform.

For example, Russian outfit Game Insight has announced it has five million players of its games across Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 devices.

From acorns?

Sure, it's small beer compared to the 250 million installs the company's had on iOS and Android.

Nevertheless, given the much smaller install base of Microsoft's OS, it's a good start.

To-date, Game Insight has released three of its most popular casual simulation/city building titles; My Country, its sequel 2020: My Country and Rule the Kingdom.

"We are committed to delivering more top-notch products to Microsoft platforms and are excited about the ease of development and accelerating platform growth," said Anatoly Ropotov, Game Insight's Chief Experience Officer.
