Life's a beach: UKIE plans a seaside stand for Gamescom 2014

The Association for United Kingdom Interactive Entertainment (UKIE) has unveiled the details of its Gamescom 2014 exhibitor packages.

These discounted and "hassle-free" packages allow those in the UK games industry to avail themselves of all the networking, promotion, and marketing that Gamescom has to offer - for a fraction of the price of a full stand.

This year's UKIE stand will run a "British Seaside" theme, which follows on the country park theme of last year. Said country park was quite eye-catching, and reportedly led to £11 million worth of deals at Gamescom 2013.

Money matters

As with last year, there are a range of different packages available to suit a variety of UK business needs - with the cheapest option starting at £1,000.

Additionally, UKIE members can claim a £200 rebate on their exhibiting costs after the show.

Speaking on his experience at least year’s UKIE booth, Iain Gilfeather, Studio head at Fat Pebble, highlighted the opportunities it afforded.

"Being part of the UKIE stand last year made it possible for a small company like ours to have a credible presence and make dozens of valuable business connections that would have been impossible to do on our own."

A full list of the packages available for UKIE’s beach-themed Gamescom 2014 stand can be found here.
