Exclusive: République stars as Unity launches new developer profiles initiative

Unity has turned to Camouflaj – the Seattle-based developer behind iOS release République– to star in its first Video Developer Profile, designed to cast light on what it pitches as the engine's "user-friendly games development" environment.

The video – first published on PocketGamer.biz's YouTube channel – comes as Camouflaj prepares to launch episode 2 of the dystopian adventure (called Metamorphosis) on the App Store.

Together as one

The initiative marks the start of a promo drive by Unity pitched at developers yet to plug their titles into the engine.

"Featuring revolutionary one touch gameplay, Unity was the perfect engine for a team made of industry veterans and those who République was their first video game launch," detailed the company in a statement.

"The team heavily relied on Unity’s quick prototyping, ability to port to cross platforms and the ability to blend animations through the Mecanim animation system."
