Entering the ninth glorious week of our exclusive weekly Apple chart listing, it’s getting pretty tempting for us to come up with our own Top of the Popsstyle theme tune to sing to ourselves as we write up the top tens.
While we pour our energies into doing that, we’ve got just enough time to tell you about the continued rise and rise of Betaworks One’s TwoDots. Creeping from third to first place in the iPhone free apps this week, the follow up to the practically ancient hit game (at least in mobile terms) Dots has knocked Angry Birds Epic from the top of the App Store tree.
But that was far from the only chart to see some dramatic moving and shaking. Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 by Atari has knocked Stickman Soccer from the top of the paid iPhone charts, while Minecraft has, relatively surprisingly due to its super glue like attachment to the App Store top spot, been booted off the top of the iPad paid apps chart by the newly released Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril.
So another interesting week in the charts, all things considered. Next week though should see a tasty tussle with the likes of Supernauts and World of Tanks Blitz rumbling into battle - we'll be grabbing the popcorn for that one.
