Unity looks to showcase and discover at this year's Gamescom

Unity will be out in force at this year's Gamescom, with the firm preparing to set up shop in the Business Area in Hall 4.1 A  from 13-15 August.

Trade attendees have been invited to visit the #madewithunity Local Multiplayer Picnic area to get some hands on time with eight fresh indie titles, including  Broforce, Kyoto Wild, Action Henk, and Starwhal.

The company also will be hosting developer tournaments every day at 4pm on the same days.

Indie showcase

In an attempt to whip up an indie frenzy, the games development platform will be showcasing the latest Unity authored content from studios Game Insight, Guru Games, Madfinger, Tap Happy Sabotage, and Nival.

Of course, it's not all about show-and-tell, and Unity will also be looking to discover new games during its time at Gamescom.

In an attempt to find the next big thing, the firm will be opening up its booth and inviting game developers to bring in their latest titles and prove their worth to the Unity team.

Charitable as ever, Unity will also be sponsoring the Indie Arena Booth on the consumer floor of Gamescom, as well as the Indie Arena Meetup that's scheduled to take place at the Hotel Lux on 13 August.
