Games Funding Forum looks to show you the money on 23 October

The autumn conference season is certainly gearing up, with UK-based Tandem Events looking to launch a new event in London.

Called the Games Funding Forum, it's a half day conference and networking event taking place on Thursday 23 October at Rich Mix, Shoreditch.

As the title suggests, the thinking behind it is to talk about the opportunities and challenges around funding game development.

It is about the m-money

The event hopes to deliver practical advice on where to find and how to access funding, offer funding case studies from developers who have successfully secured finance, information on alternative funding options and the pros and cons of different approaches.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • 10 top tips for getting your game funded - David Amor, Picnic Games
  • Grant funding for games developers - Ed Daly, Tenshi Partners
  • Converting disappointing sales into cold hard cash - Tim Wicksteed, Twice Circled
  • The state of crowdfunding for games - Thomas Bidaux, ICO Partners

After the talks, there will be the opportunity to meet and network with a variety of investors and funding providers.

Early bird passes bought on or before 18 September cost just £95 plus VAT. Full rate passes cost £150 plus VAT.
