If you're a developer that favours Unreal Engine 4, you can now use the tool to build games specifically for Ouya.

The unconsole's developers posted on the official UE blog that the latest version of the powerful engine will now have built-in support for the Ouya SDK.

Among other features, the fork of the Unreal Editor will include documented examples for virtual controllers, in-app purchases, and a sample version of Tappy Chicken optimised for Ouya.

The news comes off the back of Ouya's November announcement that it now boasts over 1,000 games in its catalogue, while the platform continues to promote indie game development.
