What makes the UK great for games development

Joseph John, a Trade and Investment Advisor with UK Trade & Investment, gave a talk at Pocket Gamer Connects Bangalore 2015 on why the UK is great for games development.

John spoke about why the UK is a good market to launch into, saying "we have about 34 million active users in the UK, of which 66% of them are paying to play games across all platforms."

It takes all kinds to make a game

John also talked about the "great talent pool," available to developers, with universities such as Sheffield Hallam and Abertay University offering game development courses.

But there is also a wide range of talent in "different clusters" around the country, with some areas producing technically minded people and others with a high turnout of creative talents.
