Spil Games partners with Amuzo to publish UK dev's first original IP

Netherlands-based mobile publisher Spil Games has announced it will be partnering with Bournemouth, UK-based developer Amuzo to publish its first original IP, Cows vs Sheep: Mower Mayhem.

It's a "mower-racing" game that sees players driving a ride-on lawnmower around towns, smashing everything in their path for points.

Amuzo are best known for their branded IPs, with multiple games based on the LEGO franchise, as well as working with the BBC on several children's titles.

Huge web audience

“We’re very excited about Spil Games’ strategy for Cows Vs Sheep: Mower Mayhem,” said Mike Hawkyard, Managing Director of Amuzo.

“To get into the top 50 you have to market outside the app stores and Spil Games’ huge web audience will boost our game in the way we need.”

Spil Games averages 100 million users a month through its web portals and mobile presence, and have achieved 50 million installs since shifting focus to publishing mobile games in 2015.

Enormous confidence

“We’re fully committed to the mobile market and the fact that a developer of Amuzo’s stature has chosen to partner with us shows enormous confidence in our strategy,” said Tung Nguyen-Khac, CEO of Spil Games.

“I’ve had great fun playing Cows Vs Sheep and there is no doubt in my mind we can drive it all the way to the top.”

It's not the first game that Spil Games has agreed to publish recently, having also worked with Indian developer underDOGS to publish Skatelander on Google Play.
