2016 IMGAs add mobile VR category

Now in its twelfth year, the International Mobile Gaming Awards is the oldest celebration of outstanding games made for mobile devices.

And this year, for the first time, it's added a mobile VR category to its line up

"This year, we're reaching out to game developers who are making VR games for mobile, using tools such as Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR," said CEO Maarten Noyons.

"Every studio building VR games for mobile should send in their game today."

Submit now

More generally, mobile developers can submit their games - using TestFlight, Hockey App or sending on APK - through the IMGA site.

Considered games must have been released in 2015, or be unpublished in a playable condition.

The games are judged by a panel consisting of representatives from companies such as Supercell, King, Ustwo, ARM, Microsoft and Samsung, as well as journalists from Pocket Gamer and VentureBeat.

The deadline for entries is 31 December 2015.

The winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony at GDC and Game Connection in San Francisco.
