Video: GSN Games on the pitfalls to avoid when retargeting users

Eyal Grundstein, VP of User Acquistion, Mobile & Social at GSN Games, gave a talk at Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2015 on mobile retargeting.

Grundstein said that retargeting is "the new hot thing for mobile", with millions of dollars being invested into it, and user acquisition partners now offering it alongside their UA.

Avoiding pitfalls

He talked about avoiding some of the pitfalls of retargeting, saying that while companies will tell you where they believe they can retarget users, "you want to re-engage users where you got them first."

Grundstein also said that "you don't want to bid against yourself" when trying out different retargeting partners, and you should use different partners to retarget different sectors of your user base.
