Video: Palringo on the potential of gaming with mobile messaging

At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2015, Palringo's Head of Chat Games Elina Arponenspoke about the potential of integrating mobile games with social messaging platforms.

Having been part of Tribe Studio, which developed the concept of Drama Games, and was acquired by Palringo in May 2015, Arponen's experience in the sector is extensive.

Better together

She explained the value of bringing games to existing social networks, rather than trying to get players to bring their social networks to your games.

If you can do this successfully, you can improve retention and monetisation, both in terms of casual social retention but also in terms of more competitive PVP modes.

Of course, you need a different sort of game to hook these audiences; something Palringo makes clear in its distinction of Chat Games.
