Given the dismal news about direct monetisation on Apple TV, maybe ads are the answer?
That's something that UK studio Tactile Labs is investigating with its Best photos of the day app on Apple TV.
One of the first apps approved using the AppLovin SDK, it's running full-screen video ads (the only available format).
Tactile Labs' says that there's not a great deal of ad inventory yet available, and - unlike every other ad opportunity on iOS - the channel isn't being used for user acquisition.
But maybe that's due to the lack of install base and general user activity with apps and games on Apple TV.
