Agreeing with a comment made by Clark, Maher said "there is an over-obsession with the top then", and that developers should instead focus on the lower levels, aiming for top 200, where they have a better chance of making money without competing with the bigger hitters.

On the topic of success, Griffin said that if you focus on your company as a business and not just a creative outlet, "you can be in the top 20%" of developers making money, so it's important to have a clear business plan in place.
