Vainglory wins Best Mobile Game at 2016 GLOMO Awards

US developer Super Evil Megacorp's mobile MOBA, Vainglory, has won the award for Best Mobile Game at the 2016 GLOMO Awards in Barcelona.

It beat over 930 other mobile games to the title, a record number of entries received by the GSMA for the awards, which were held during the Mobile World Congress.

“It is an honor for Vainglory to be recognized as the ‘Best Mobile Game’ by the GSMA,” said Kristian Segerstrale, COO and Executive Director of Super Evil Megacorp.

“The rate at which the Vainglory community has grown and the eSports competition has increased throughout 2015 has been incredible, and we cannot thank our players enough for their dedication across the globe."

The game has grown rapidly throughout 2015, with overall tournament prizes of $350,000 given to players across the globe, and over a million viewers on Twitch.
