Following its acquisition of Distimo in 2014 and Mobidia in 2015, App Annie has struck again.

This time, it's acquired app marketing tracking service AppScotch.

"We are always looking for technologies and talent that enhance our products and mission," commented App Annie CEO Bertrand Schmitt.

"The AppScotch team shares our passion for apps and has developed some exciting complementary technology."

App Annie raised $63 million in early January to enable it to perform this sort of M&A activity.

Mad men

AppScotch provides market intelligence about which developers are spending the most on UA - usually Machine Zone - well as revealing which apps and games are using which ad networks, and tracking use of specific advertising creative content too.

You can find more information about AppScotch's services at its website.
